All film has a minimum order quantity of 10 metres and is supplied on a roll - not folded.
Note, all film is rolled from the master roll to a smaller shipping roll with no contact from either the machine or the hands of the operator. The first 300mm and the last 300mm will be handled to attach and terminate the film from the roll. We always add an extra metre or so to allow for the handled material.

Conductive Coating - Re formulated for easier application

Clear, best all round performer.
Our new clear coating was tested for 2 years and has been used in all of our products for 5 years. It is now available for general sale. This material does not rely on ambient humidity to make it conductive and is stable in dry or humid conditions. The exceptionally thin film coating adds negligible mass to the diaphragm. Can be used direct from the bottle or diluted to produce desired surface resistance. Typical coverage is 1ml per 900 sq cm (1 square foot)

Adhesives

Polyurethane,
Is used for stator to panel bond, air gap spacers to panel or to stators. This adhesive gives a very strong bond in shear and peel. Slow curing gives time to get things exactly right. Can also be used to damp stators to prevent ringing.

Diaphragm Adhesive

Most adhesives have difficulty bonding polyester film to typical ESL panels, having poor peel characteristics. Our polyurethane based adhesive will bond diaphragms strongly and reliably. Slow cure time allows plenty of time to get things just right.
Some adhesives leave a hard brittle edge where it squeezes out from the join. This edge can damage the film as it flexes over it. The polyurethane adhesive leaves a “soft” edge where the adhesive squeezes out of the join, which will not damage the film.

Copper EHT Foil

It is essential to provide an EHT rail around the perimeter of the diaphragm. This is best applied to the surface of the air gap spacer that comes into contact with the conductive coating. Our foil is 4 and 6mm wide, 25 microns thick, self-adhesive and can be soldered.

High Quality Grille Cloth

Available in Black, navy blue and burgundy, other colours coming soon. This grille cloth is acoustically transparent and acts as a very good barrier to dust and insects that can cause problems with the operation of your ESL’s – highly recommended. 2 way stretch allows for easy fitting. 1.5 metres wide.
